Basic Digital Photography
You'll look briefly at camera features and the reasons for getting a digital camera based upon your personal interests. We'll also take a short look at some of the newest digital photo technology looming on the near horizon.
Most of the class period will be taken up discussing the basics of good photography; light, form, color, texture and emotion. Armed with these simple principles, you will be able to expand your visual creativity and focus the viewer's attention on your photographic intent.
We'll spend time discussing common problems faced by digital photographers like the "grainy" look that comes from some digital cameras, especially in the dark tones and getting the printer to make the picture look like what's on the computer screen.
We'll take just a little time to look at a few software solutions that can take your photos to a whole new level.
This four hour class will be packed with useful tips and information for any new or intermediate photographer.
